SUBJECT: Student Fees

SUPERSEDES POLICY NO.: 1:2D:01:06 DATED: November 1, 1983
The enrollment of students and payment of fees will be handled consistent
with policies, procedures, and guidelines of the Tennessee Board of Regents.
This will include refunds of fees.
The establishment and approval of fees and charges will be consistent with
Tennessee Board of Regents policies, procedures, and guidelines.
The University will provide a process through which any student may appeal
the application of any fee or charge or the calculation or denial of a
refund.
The Vice President for Business and Finance shall be responsible for the
administration of the above policies.
Students from certain foreign countries have persistently encountered
difficulties and delays in receiving financial support from home-country
sources. The University will certify final acceptance for admission by
foreign students from these countries only after the student has placed on
deposit with the University funds equal to the estimated total expense of a
student for one year. The Vice Provost for Academic Affairs shall be
responsible for the administration of this policy.
