The University of Memphis offers equal educational opportunity to all
persons without regard to handicap, race, sex, creed, color or national
origin.
    
It is the purpose of this policy to provide an avenue of appeal to that
student who believes that he or she is a victim of discriminatory action
based on any of these factors.
           
While the ultimate responsibility for all student relations rests with
the President of the University, this policy will be administered by the 
Vice Provost for Student Educational Services.  He will develop and publish
procedures for the processing of grievances filed by students.
