The U. of M., while encouraging student development through
participation in student organizations, also seeks to ensure that
students successfully meet their educational goals and academic
requirements.  Accordingly, the University requires that officers of
all student organizations maintain a cumulative G.P.A of 2.00
and a minimum of six (6) semester hours of enrollment during their
tenure as officers.  The University further requires that all
pledges or associate members of any Greek organization have a
cumulative high school G.P.A of 2.5 or a cumulative college G.P.A
of 2.00, whichever is most current, and be enrolled for at least
six (6) semester hours, to be eligible for initiation into their
respective inter/national organizations.
